Assistant Banquet Manager 

The Club is a member only club located atop Red Mountain in Birmingham Alabama and is presently hiring an exceptional Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team. Our goal is excellence through uncompromising service to our members in a caring and respectful manner. Our team provides high levels of service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our members with three full service restaurants and high volume event activity.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise banquet function for the club in the Banquet Manager’s absence 
• Coordinate set up requirements for club functions according to the banquet event order, communicate directly with member contact, Events department, and others within the club to ensure details of the functions are carried out, ensure quality and timeliness of all food items, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience. 
• Set, develop, communicate, and adhere to standards including: set up, food and beverage, health and sanitation in addition to fire codes 
• Assist Banquet Manager with pre-function briefing with servers to include timing, menus, member expectations, side duties and assignment of server stations 
• Assure all banquet checks are accurate, presented on a timely basis 
• Observe service behaviors of staff and provides feedback to them when needed 
• Interact with members to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels 
• Work with Banquet Manager and others to coordinate personnel requirements for events 
• Effectively and regularly communicate expectations and service goals to staff 
• Coordinate food service between kitchen and banquet staff 
• Inspect linens daily for cleanliness and proper appearance 
• Enforce established club rules, regulations, and policies 
• Prepare and review table diagrams, guest tables and set-up needs for events 
• Ensure staff are well-groomed and in proper uniform 
• Assure the neatness, cleanliness, and safety of banquet areas 
• Oversee breakdown of event, including clean-up activities and securing the club 

Requirements: 
• One to two years previous experience as an Assistant Manager position Banquets or Food & Beverage outlet or two years’ banquet server experience in Hospitality industry preferred 
• Must have excellent time-management skills, detail oriented, and have strong follow through skills 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and member service skills
• Ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels
• Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
• Must be at least 19 years of age to serve alcohol
• Able to push, pull, or lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and twist of reach
• Must present a neat and professional appearance
• Able to work various shifts, nights, and weekends is a MUST!

Food & Beverage Bar Manager 

The Club is a member only club located atop Red Mountain in Birmingham Alabama and is presently hiring an exceptional Food and Beverage Bar Manager to join our team. Our goal is excellence through uncompromising service to our members in a caring and respectful manner. Our team provides high levels of service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our members with three full service restaurants, bar and lounge, along with a high volume of event activity.

Responsibilities:
• Manage F & B day to day operations sharing the responsibility with three other managers 
• Maintain liquor inventory to include purchasing and controls 
• Manage a high-volume liquor program to include daily menu updates in all three restaurants and bar, purchases, programs as well as create new promotions 
• Develop and implement programs to increase liquor and wine sales 
• Lead F & B team through recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel 
• Educate and train servers and bartenders about various liquors and cocktails
• Maintain an adequate supply of liquor through use of an effective inventory management system 
• Schedule and coordinate all bar staff 
• Communicate with all department levels and throughout club 
• Identify members/guests needs and respond proactively 
• Meet with staff at all levels to plan future functions as well as the needs of the current expectations 

Requirements: 
• Minimum of two-three years front of the house management experience in a full-service club, hotel or bar required 
• Food and beverage management experience required 
• Experience in a formal training program required • Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills • Ability to manage staff and achieve financial targets
• Member/ Guest oriented and service minded
• Bachelor's degree in business or hospitality preferred
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays

Member Relations and Marketing Coordinator

The Club is a member only club located atop Red Mountain in Birmingham Alabama and is presently hiring an exceptional Marketing and Member Relations Coordinator to join our team.  Our goal is excellence through uncompromising service to our members in a caring and respectful manner. Our team provides high levels of service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our members with three full service restaurants and high-volume event activity.

Essential Job Functions:
• Develop and plan all company marketing and communications materials
• Maintain The Club’s public and member only website and mobile application and promote The Club on various social media platforms
• Write, compose, and edit club magazine and newsletter articles; organize and submit  copy for production in a timely manner; proof content for corrections and changes; responsible for design and layout of page format and cover design
• Create print materials for all aspect of The Club; new member and prospective member promotional pieces; menus, in-house signage, etc.
• Assist the Membership Director with daily tasks
• Maintain member information in database
• Attend member and club events- assist in day-of operations and document event activities through photography and social media
• Respond to public relations initiatives including digital reviews, media requests, chef appearances, etc.
• Take photos for use in club publications and/or exhibits
• Oversee communications and email blasts with members

• Create direct mailings including composition, design, and printing
• Manage reciprocal club relationships, recruitment, and member visits
• Communicate through all department levels and throughout the club

Education and Experience Required: 
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or hospitality required
• One to two years marketing experience required
• One to two years’ experience managing social media accounts
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite necessary
• Experience in private club, hospitality or related industry preferred
• DSLR photography skills preferred
• An understanding of social media analytics and target marketing
• Some experience in food and beverage preferred
• Superior attention to detail and follow through
• Excellent organizational skills necessary
• Professional, outgoing, enthusiastic attitude
• Service minded and friendly to all members and guests
• Thorough and professional communication skills necessary
• Flexibility to work some evenings, select Saturdays and occasional holidays is REQUIRED!

Servers & Bartenders 

Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome guest and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner 
• Take/serve orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products 
• Present menus and help customers select food/beverages 
• Collaborate with other servers/bartenders and kitchen staff 
• Deal with customer complaints or problems with a positive attitude 
• Attend to customers upon entrance

Requirements:

Banquet Cooks


Banquet Cook Responsibilities:
• Work in high volume, fast-paced, team oriented kitchen environment where fellow culinarians hold one another accountable for quality of your work
• Prepare food items required for all banquet events (breakfasts, luncheons, dinner, and special events)
• Prepare canapes for banquet parties ranging from 10 to 600 people
• Prepare food items using only high quality ingredients that need a skilled attention to detail
• Follow standard recipes while preparing assigned items 
• Assist in plating food items for service
• Handle leftovers as instructed
• Clean preparation/serving equipment and assigned work area
• Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices


Requirements:
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a high volume production kitchen preferred.  Any combination of education training or experience, Culinary or Apprenticeship preferred
• Extensive knowledge of high quality ingredients that require a skilled attention to detail
• Must be a self-driven cook/chef who is looking to grow their career
• Must thrive in a team driven environment where fellow culinarians hold each other accountable
• Ability to meet high expectations in executing preparation
• Ability to accept constructive criticism from supervising staff
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays REQUIRED
• Knowledge of all kitchen equipment
• Ability to execute food preparation with attention to detail; commitment to consistency is crucial
• Ability to stand and work continuously in confined spaces.
